Are you having cooling issues with your injection molds?

Does this mean you can't achieve the desired cycle time? Or, do you have quality

Can't get rid of hot spots with your water cooling?

STEMCO Cooling Unit

We optimize your cooling circuit for injection molding processes

Our refrigerant cooling keeps injection molds at a constant temperature. This is essential because you can achieve consistently high injection quality and benefit from measurable productivity gains when the injection tooling is kept at optimal temperature.

Our focus is on reducing cycle times, at least maintaining stability and even improving part quality. Our temperature control systems are specially matched to injection molds and can reduce injection process cycle times by an average of 30%. Our refrigerant cooling systems enable cores, webs and smallest areas less than 8 mm in diameter to precisely reach the desired tooling/de-moulding temperature. A uniform injection molding temperature profile provides many benefits in terms of productivity and part quality.

What's wrong with your part? Are there unwanted glossy spots? Is the quality not where it should be? Or, have you encountered hot spots in the part production process that dictate cycle times, reduce productivity, and result in significant additional costs?
We will work with you to find the right solution. So look no further; join us and switch your quality and cycle times to the fast lane!
Unique, very fast and precise
Our cooling units feature specially developed controls that allow precise regulation of the amount and temperature of refrigerant. The temperature sensor is integrated in the area to be cooled of the injection mold. They are as close as possible to the point where the expansion takes place so that precise temperature measurements are always transmitted to the control unit.
Sturmco cooling systems provide a reliable solution for the cooling of injection molds at a very favorable cost. The system keeps the injection mold temperature within the optimum range at all times, even in critical hot spots.
In addition to being easily retrofitted to existing injection molds, Stemke cooling systems are also ideal for use with new injection molds.

Frequently Asked Questions on the topic of refrige

  • +-Are you unable to arrange the cooling system in some areas when designing the mold?

Heat concentration is particularly likely to occur in the small inserts of the mold, or the parts with deep ribs. Due to its small shape or insufficient strength, the conventional waterway cannot be designed, which results in prolonged cooling time or product quality problems. Use STEMK gas Cold-assisted cooling scheme, the cooling air path can be designed in the middle of inserts or thimbles with a minimum diameter of 1.2, which can effectively ensure the local cooling effect, reduce the inject
  • +-Do you have problems such as "depression", "ejection deformation", "rib position strain" during the injection molding process?

The possible cause of these problems is the inconsistent design of the wall thickness of the product, resulting in a different cooling process when the product is cooled, resulting in similar problems in the product. The unique variable temperature control cooling process of STEMK air cooling system can ensure to solve such problems and give you a satisfactory solution
